Requirements
Education
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field (preferences will be given to Education, Vocational Training, or related discipline)
Experience
- At least 3 years

Additional Requirements
- Proven experience in developing and delivering vocational and livelihood training programs.
- Experience working with both the Rohingya and the host community will get a preference.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and understandably.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, groups and individuals.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and participatory training methodologies.
- Ability to travel to project sites for on-site training and engagement.
Responsibilities & Context
- Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a people-centered organization, ESDO envisioned a society that would be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child would cry from hunger and no life would be ruined by poverty. Over three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help disadvantaged and vulnerable people bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted to the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services, especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community-focused and people-centered approach has been adopted by ESDO while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 381 upazilas under 52 districts of Bangladesh covering over 10 million poor and vulnerable people.
- In partnership with the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), ESDO will implement the DRC-ESDO Economic Recovery Project 2024 under DANIDA SPA in Cox’s Bazar district (Camp5, Camp8E, Camp8W and Camp10; Host: Jalaiapalong, Palongkhali and Rajapalong Union of Ukhiya)
- ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive training curricula for repairing gas stoves, handicrafts (Jute products), and plastic and garments waste recycling under the supervision of the Project Coordinator.
- Collaborate with the subject matter experts to design training materials, manuals, and resources.
- Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and practical demonstrations for project participants.
- Develop individualized training plans based on participants’ skill levels.
- Coordinate and manage training resources, including materials, equipment and tools.
- Ensure an equitable, women-friendly, and gender-sensitive environment in all training activities.
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with local training institutes/organizations, financial institutes (formal/nonformal), Livelihoods and skill development sector, I/N/LNGOs, and other humanitarian / development relevant partners.
Monitoring, Quality Control and Reporting:
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of training programs, providing reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ensure that the right content, materials, and methods are used in all the training.
- Ensure proper records and documentation of training evaluations.
- Collect, compile, and report on opinions, feedback, and suggestions on training sessions from the participants and facilitators.
- Prepare and share training reports for each event.

- As part of this role, the job holder will be expected to adhere to and support Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) ‘s safety and security-related policies and systems as part of their day-to-day duties and comply, always, with safety & security protocols and directives, including reporting.
