Requirements
Education
- Graduation in any discipline preferably in Accounting or Finance or any related subject.
- Having a professional degree (CA/ACCA) will add an advantage.
Experience
- At least 3 years

- Proficiency in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Tax, VAT, and Microsoft Excel.
- Management of trust funds by IIA Standards, Country’s Laws and Regulations, Risk management, finance, accounts, and compliance.
- You have demonstrated analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Experience in internal controls and audit processes.
- At least 3 years of working experience in Accounts / Finance / Audit / Tax / VAT.

Job Purpose:
This position will be responsible for the accounting operation of the various funds of BRAC (Provident Fund, Gratuity Fund, Aysha Abed Foundation, Aminul Alam’s Fund, Safia Khatun Fund, Najmul Hasan Zahed Academy, Shilu Abed Memorial Trust, and Education Trust Fund). It will meet operational standards by contributing accounting information to strategic plans and reviews. This role will be responsible for suggesting ideas for improvement in productivity, quality, and customer-service standards and will serve as the point of escalation in resolving problems.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the Trust Fund accounts (e.g., PF, GF, and other Trust Accounts), including voucher preparation.
- Oversee the fund management of BRAC Trust Funds, calculate monthly provident fund contributions, facilitate collection, and input data into HRMS software. Execute adjustment entries and other related tasks.
- Coordinate the investment of fund money into different banks and financial institutions, considering interest rates and risk factors in consultation with the BRAC Provident Fund Board of Trustees.
- Calculate final payments for outgoing staff regularly (provident fund portion), taking into account their length of service and nature of separation.
- Conduct a monthly reconciliation of fund balances with central BRAC accounts.
- Coordinate communication with BRAC staff on provident fund matters, including loans, withdrawals, and refunds.
- Interact with external and internal auditors for the annual audit of the provident fund.
- Facilitate communication and coordination with BRAC staff regarding provident fund issues from various programs.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the program’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
